OUR EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PARTNERS:
- Front Lines Tutoring: 415-569-7767, frontlinestutoring@gmail.com. Free, virtual tutoring by UCLA students for children affected by COVID-19. Sessions are 50 minutes long and occur through Zoom. Tutors have a background in a variety of subjects, including Chemistry, Biology and English, and have experience working with elementary, middle, and high school youth.

- UCLA Pritzker Center for Strengthening Children and Families: Free tutoring by UCLA students for children in foster care.
OTHER EDUCATION SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS:
- Hearts over Hands: Pairs volunteer students from universities with kids for homework help, tutoring and other activities. Recommended for children ages 7 and up. Virtual classes from dance to cooking to science experiments. Some are free, some have a fee.
- Khan Academy: free short video to help kids learn basic skills in math, reading, history, computers, economics and test prep for SAT, LSAT and Praxis Core, for kids in 1st grade through 8th grade
- YouTube Learning: Learn at home with youtube. The website has free summer camp online activities from racial equity to science, math with Khan Academy, art, cooking, sports and adventure, livestream exercise, livestream, how-to videos like how to write and make a film, videos on relaxation breathing and much more.
- Brainfuse HelpNow!: To contact: 1-866-272-4638 or email info@brainfuse.com If you have a library card in LA County, you can enter your library barcode number (with no spaces) on the website and have access to homework help, job coaching, resume assistance, interview preparation. Tutors are live online every day from 12pm to 10pm.
- Natural Reader: A free program that converts written text into spoken words for empower children with difficulties in reading, those with cognitive disabilities and blind students. Add the website to google chrome to listen to school notes, books, email, news and articles. There’s also a dyslexia font to help dyslexic readers.
- Bookshare: eBooks for People with Reading Barriers: An e-book library for qualifying students with disabilities including dyslexia, blindness, cerebral palsy and other reading barriers. Customize the reading experience– the website allows for listening to books, following along with karaoke-style reading, braille or large font and customized book formats for any device. $50 per year for non-students.
- Read Along by Google: A free app for Android phones to help kids learn to read. The app listens to a child read, offers assistance when they struggle and rewards them with stars when they do well, guiding them as they progress. Best for children ages 5+ who already have some basic knowledge of the alphabet. Stories from around the world in 9 different languages.

FREE OR LOW-COST COMPUTERS AND INTERNET:
- LA Public Libraries – Chromebooks and Hotspots for Everyone
- Participating libraries: San Fernando, Lancaster, AC Bilbrew, Compton, East Los Angeles, Huntington Park, La Puente, Leland R. Weaver, Lennox, South Wittier.
- Multiple LA County libraries now have Chromebooks that can be borrowed for 3 weeks at a time, and mobile internet. The library will also print up to 10 pages per day free of charge for curbside pick-up. Check with your local public library by visiting the website above.
- Human-I-T: Text 562-372-6925 or www.hitconnect.org: Helps connect families and community-based organizations with free or low-cost internet service, refurbished computers and free basic computer training.
- Everyone On: Low cost internet service, low cost computers in your area. The website also offers help learning to use a computer and check email. Enter zip code on the website for resources in your area.
- Charter Spectrum: 1-844-488-8395. Free internet for families of K-12 students. No income eligibility required.
- Comcast: 1-855-846-8376. Free internet services for families with children. No income eligibility required.
- LAUSD is supposed to provide free or on-loan computers for every low-income child in the LAUSD district. The LAUSD Parent Hotline may also have info (213-443-1300).

- City of LA: partnering with CA Emerging Technology Fund and EveryoneOn to help residents find options for low-cost internet services, access to computers and digital literacy services.
